From today (July 9), Apple Watch users will be able to take blood pressure readings using the Qardio app for the Apple Watch, with one simple tap.
Qardio has created a new app so people can take their blood pressure reading directly on their Apple Watch, without their iPhone. New users can even activate their QardioArm through their Apple watch, without the need to create a Qardio account.
The new independent app for Apple Watch syncs automatically with QardioArm, and also enables non-Qardio users to manually enter measurements from traditional blood pressure monitors. Reminders can be set directly from the Apple watch, so users remember to take a blood pressure measurement. Users can also view a daily trend of readings to track blood pressure over time, also directly on the Apple Watch.
The new Qardio app for Apple Watch adds another convenient option to promote consistent measurement habits, which have been shown to contribute to healthy, “in control” blood pressure and to promote the ability #knowyournumbers .
The new Qardio app for Apple Watch may be installed directly from the App Store on the Apple Watch.
