QardioBase named 2016 CES Innovation Awards Honoree

San Francisco, USA, November 11, 2015 – Qardio, Inc., the multi award-winning digital health company, is proud to announce QardioBase, its newly launched wireless smart scale and body composition analyzer, is a CES 2016 Innovation Award honoree. This is Qardio’s third CES Innovation Award, a prestigious and highly sought after accolade honoring consumer electronics products that reflect innovative product design and engineering in cutting edge technology. The Fitness, Sports and Biotech category recognizes products designed to test, monitor or analyze the health, well-being, fitness or medical condition of an individual.

“Winning our third CES Innovation Award confirms the innovative technology and quality design in Qardio’s health monitoring devices,” said Rosario Iannella, Chief Technology Officer and Founder. “With QardioBase we created more than just a connected scale, we created an intelligent device with a friendly user experience that encourages everyday use in helping you reach your goals.”

QardioBase combines intelligent features and an intuitive user experience to empower users with an in-depth knowledge of what the numbers on the scale really mean. More than just the standard scale, QardioBase measures weight, body mass index (BMI), muscle mass, body fat percentage and water and bone composition, while automatically syncing data to iOS and Android devices through the Qardio App. Some unique features include Pregnancy Mode for expectant moms to track progress throughout pregnancy and Smart Feedback Mode allowing users to swap numbers with smileys for a more encouraging, human way to reach their long term goals.

QardioBase will be showcased at 2016 CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9 at the CES Innovation Awards Showcase, CES Unveiled Las Vegas and on display at the Sands Expo Center in Booth 73506 alongside the rest of the Qardio digital health ecosystem. The wireless smart scale will be available for hands-on product demonstrations for journalists and public in attendance at CES 2016.
